Need help finalizing w810i

Hello, this is my first post. I have been reading tutorials and how-to's for about two weeks now on the subject of customizing my w810i's firmware. Well i just got my new phone yesterday (w610i) and now i'm not afraid to mess up my w810i because i won't be left without a phone if I do.

Well after much reading, I took my first stab at flashing my phone. I used xs++ to flash the Main and the FS. Everything went well as far as I know but when I turn on the phone I get a configuration error. So I went back and did some more reading and now I realize that i didn't finalize it (doh!). But in the tutorial I read, the guy is using a service cable which I do not have.

Now I need help. Can I finalize my phone with just my regular old DCU-60,
or do I have to purchase a service cable? Which program should I use?

Just in case it matters, I purchased my phone already unlocked on ebay which wasn't cheap. What I was interested in doing was applying some patches to enhance the features. You know like using the radio without the
headphones, video in .mp4, that sort of thing. I tried applying some of those patches but I guess they weren't made for the firmware i had. Thus the flashing of a different firmware on my phone.

So there you have it, thats my dilemma. can someone help? Thanks:confused:

No, you don't need to buy a service cable. Download SEFP or SEtool2lite, and finalize your phone with DCU-60.

Hey thanks for you reply.
Well i just went and used xs++ again and fixed my phone. it works again (yay)
This stuff can be so confusing, with all the different threads and conflicting advice.
I already have those programs installed, now i'm gonna see if I can apply those patches.

i am getting the same error after flashing with xs++ bt i did fs main and also selected the third option customize with my cda version bt can any one tell me how to finalize it

Finalization = Completing flashing operations and storing basic settings that phone needs to properly operate [i.e. security certificates, (and this is why phone displays "configuration error" if it is not properly done)].

Firmware has two parts:
1. FS: It contains languages, images, sounds, animations, settings, etc. Anything that isn't pure software.
2. Main: It contains the software.

Note: MAIN and FS HAVE to be the same software version

Customization has to be same region as FS, in this case
FS = EU5 (EUROPE_5)
Customization =CDA102338/50 ( EUROPE_5 Sunrise Switzerland)
