Dead K800i - Help Please

Hi people.

my trusty K800i has decided to go in the huff after a year of good service!

When turning on it has the White Screen Of Death.
Sometimes when you put the battery in the red light at the camera comes on or the flash starts flashing repeatedly.

Have tried using the Wotan Software and pressing 2&5 etc. Done this but it seemed to fail.

Got the XS++ software but not sure what to do now.

p.s This is a contract phone which was allegedly insured - only found out that the dealer had swapped the sim from another phone and hence invalidated my insurance :mad:

any help or suggestions are appreciated.

I would be willing to pay for the downloads if i knew exactly which ones to get! :confused:

1. Why do you think Wotan failed? Did it give you something like "SEMSEC status 3" or similar? That indicates that your EROM is up to date.

2. The files you need:
A MAIN, a FS and a custpack. You can choose any firmware you like. R8BA024 is the latest one. Choose MAIN_Generic, FS_Mediterr and make sure, that they are RED52! This is important.
Downloads - k800custpack - HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_4_R6A_GENERIC_MEDITERR - Top Sony Forums <--- this is the custpack you need, regardless which firmware you choose.

You can use the XS++ 2.x flashing guide from our tutorials section, it's quite easy to understand.

k800 dead phone, how can we revive or repair the phone?. imei in gdfs is corrupted.

meybe u can flash k800 with setool - i wake up this method k310 :) - w800 i wakeupped with SEUS

I revived my k800 from a similar situation by reflashing it with xs++
