what patches are you talking about? there are so many patches
patch files like Change main font from E_20B to E_14B
i have also tried "Management of radio and player with headsets button w810 r4ea031" but this one doesn't work , have you tried anything else ?

remember, patches files are dependent of firmware version, please verify IF the version of both matches....

Here's also a patch which will put a lock on the filemanager, messages, call list, contacts. THere are a few bugs though...like if you activate message protection and contact list lock, you won't be able to send messages :( You need to deactivate the contact list lock.
