SE K810i. Looking for advice/help. Have read sticky posts ^

Hey TopSony.

I have this Sony Ericsson k810i, which when I put my sim and turn on phone, it displays 'Inactive Sim' across the top.
I've read all sorts on this problem, but the main thing which sticks to mind is people across the 'net saying it's IMEI blocked. Other people say the IMEI can be changed with SETool.

Before doing anything I thought I'd come check some of the sticky threads across TopSony, but I'm still 100% confused about what I can do with this phone. Can it be used/unlocked or is it permanently f*cked now? I thought the best way to find out my answer would be to make a post on here, but wether this is in the right section I don't know.

So, apologies if I've posted in the wrong area, or if I am wasting time.

Try some other sim card(also another provider) that work in other phones.Try to go settings/network and select GSM only.If always "inactive sim" then take it to some repair shop.It can be hardware problem but also blocked phone from network.

Thanks for replying. Ive tried other sims and just set GSM only but still inactive sim. Any other methods worth trying before taking it to a shop?

There is nothing more you can do,sorry.
