Sony Ericsson W518 in danger of extinction...

Yesterday, it froze up saying "invalid SIM" forcing me to pull the battery from it and reinstall it to boot the phone back up.

I hit the shortcut for Opera Mini and it could not connect to the net.

I tried to hit the built in browser and got "Internet settings not found - Download them?"

I hit yes, and it failed, saying it could not automatically download settings. I then called at&t, whom tried everything (including manually adding all the settings,) but no matter what, no joy.

Two odd things: In the Internet Settings menu, where you choose your data account, no matter which I selected, it stayed blank after I hit save (I.E, the menu where you get the "Internet account & allow local connection choices)

I also got a whole helluva lot of SEMC GPRS accounts, (which I understand to be the autoconfiguration system) but none of the 11 that appeared did anything.

Does anyone have any ideas? Try flashing it (it only has to last another couple of months,) or break out the shotgun?

you may try Master Reset in the Settings and do "Reset ALL", if still not solve you have to flash the phone
