How to go about unlocking my C902?

Okay this has been a real pain in the neck for me lately. Im looking to buy a sim only contract for unlimited texts and such from O2. Only problem is my phone is locked to Virgin. Is there a way to unlock my phone without paying for some stupid online service or taking it to my local unlocker who will probably charge me out the arse for it? I tried using Setool Lite but it keeps saying
unknown ChipID(c900)

I don't know where to go from here. I really want to know how to unlock it myself. Does this require buying credits for server side codes?

With Omnius unlocking was free, but since 11 days has already been paid. For now, NO free way to unlock your phone !
