K800 Screw up. Please Help
Hi guys. OK. Here’s the deal. I’m an idiot. In the space of three days I got Tropicana in my Nokia N95 8gb, and then in a (rushed/botched) attempt to unlock my previous Sony Ericsson K800 using XS++ & Setoo2lLiteV1.1, (because I needed a working phone urgently) I’ve screwed it up and missed the part about backing up the GDFS (Yes, I know – see fourth sentence). Now the K800 is COMPLETELY dead and lifeless (as if dead wasn’t bad enough), and now I just keep getting “Error: Cannot open phone communication port” message whenever I try to connect it. Does this mean I have what is affectionately known as a ‘brick’? Do I have to take it to a repair-store, and has anyone any idea how much that might cost (£)? Or is it even worse than that and a store can’t fix it? I’ll be extremely grateful for any help anyone can offer.

Before customizing - after flashing MAIN and FS - did you turned on the phone to see if it works?
Also did you removed the battery and reinserted it after firmware flash?
Any way, it looks like your phone got bricked and you must send it to service. The repair price
differs from region to region.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I did turn on the phone after the flash, and the phone worked absolutely fine, but that was the one and only time it did work. I then turned it off (Can't be certain, but I'm fairly sure I did NOT remove the battery again) and after that it wouldn't respond again.
Was not removing the battery after the flash my fatal error?
I had become resigned to the fact that it's probably a service centre job.

Identify your phone in Setool2Lite 1.11 and post here the log(without IMEI number).

Thank you for your reply. I had already tried that, but I have just tried it again. The phone just sits there lifeless and Setool2Lite 1.11 just sits there indefinitely waiting.
