K770i - sim inactive after reflash/erom and debrand pls help

Hiya, can anyone help please I have a k770i that was on 3. I managed to debrand and unlock to any network but I now get sim inactive when I put my working pay as you go O2 sim in it.

You can unlock for free with Omnius.

I tried omnius and it left the phone dead, I then had to use setools lite to reflash just to get it to turn on again? I dont understand how it can display network unlocked but report sim unactive? have I unknowingly unlocked it to a wrong country other than uk?

thanks for replying, erm sorry but I dont understand, how do I put that in? I dont have those symbols on my keypad? should all those items show unlocked or do I need to? sorry if I am being thick. its doing my head in.

No matter for shortcuts, just make properly!

I tried that, the first > takes me to the O2 menu then * to voicemail, I cant seem to find my service menu anywhere on the phone. should I just try reflashing from scratch? I tried the perm flash unlock from omnius. which do u recommend omnius or setool? omnius made it worse first time. could you please list all files I would need for o2 uk maybe I got a wrong 1. have I loaded a bad erom? there was only 1 erom file for this phone model.
