W610 Bluetooth and USB Internet Fail
I have a problem with my bluetooth and USB Internet commands. You see, if i click "Turn bluetooth on", it indicates that it's turned on (the on-screen notification that lasts for a second is what I mean), but nothing happens. If I choose to add a new bluetooth device, nothing happens. Not even the bluetooth icon shows up.
The same goes for USB internet. It indicates that it's on, and if I click to turn it off, it doesn't change. Click the USB internet accounts does the same thing. When I connect the pphone to PC via USB cable, it doesn't connect to the internet.
I need bluetooth connection so I can transfer .sav files to MeBoy, that's the only way.
I thought it's a software problem, and completely reflashed it, but it didn't work.
Re: W610 Bluetooth and USB Internet Fail
Here's something new. It fell on the floor today, after turning it on, Bluetooth worked normally, so did the USB Internet option. After restarting it, it didn't work again. I turned it off, tapped it with my palm, and turned it on, and it worked. After another restart, it didn't.
Could this be a hardware problem, like, the Bluetooth radio needs soldering? Or ma this problem be caused by the phone's "play" button on the side being stuck (as in, maybe it won't receive commands for bluetooth because the "play" button is pressed while the phone is booting or something)?
P.S. Double posting to get the thread noticed.
Re: W610 Bluetooth and USB Internet Fail
that might be the problem, try to dismantle it and place the play button properly and post result.
Re: W610 Bluetooth and USB Internet Fail
The problem is I don't have the screwdriver needed for that. I've seen these 6 point star screws only on SE phones. I'll try with a regular screw, what else can I do.
