Can I just flash firmware but not FS?

Hello there, I'm new to here :) and I want to ask that I'm getting a K770i from ebay unlocked, but as far as I know, its Vodafone branded and I don't really like vodafone, so how do I debrand?

So I've been reading alot about debranding, so if its CID53, I'd have to use Far+JDFlasher or if its CID52 then XS++? What I'm unsure about is, do I HAVE to flash the FS + Cust. pack? I remember on my old K770i thats been burgaled, I bought it in hong kong, then updated through SEUS and lost chinese and it put EU firmware on it, but I couldn't be bothered flashing it back to chinese. I've heard something about, if you only flash Main, then if you use SEUS it'll revert back to the what it is. I don't mind that at all. Because I heard flashing FS can brick your phone but Main can't. Also lets say if I flash the Main + FS, do I need to flash Cust Pack aswell? I've got SOME experience flashing my K750i to W800i but Main only.

Well so far I'm looking at flashing with these files:

Hmmn what does "APAC" stand for? I don't mind english but chinese would be useful when I go hong kong to text in chinese and read chinese songs as I don't use the other languages on Europe Firmwares aswell. So what is "APAC"? I thought it was labeled as "Hong Kong" or "Taiwan"? I prefer Traditional Chinese, so the China ones are no good. Thanks for reply anyways.

Each File System is different and is designed for different regions.
Custom pack contains the required settings for the File System.
If you use different version File System and Custom pack - flash program (XS + +) will give you an error.
Because languages do not match, settings, etc. for the region - must use the same version to match your settings, languages, etc.
In branded versions can use different custom pack, but it should be checked for which regions is designed File System.

ah i see that the fs and cust pack need to match now. but do i need to use HK/TAIWAN main for chinese or do main have match aswell?

GENERIC is better than HK/TAIWAN

You know if I debrand with GENERIC + HK/TAIWAN FS/CUST PACK, what will happen if I update through SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service)?

Will be with CID53, you cann't do GDFS back up/restore, cann't use scripts, you cann't reset the phone code if you forget...
