Re: Problem Debranding c905a
Configuration Error means that your missing files like customize.xml, preloaded_config.xml (Well that what I think). Without this phone can start up but you will get that error.
When you manually flash it with new FS, it seem to lose those.
So go to the Downloads at the top, find custom file, click the one you want (in this case c905custpack), then download one of them (I would choose either of the generic_america since your phone is in fs_america_red53).
After you download it use your A2uploader, click FileSystem tool then plug your phone.
Drag Customize.xml and preloaded_config.xml into the tpa/preset/custom (I think when you download the pack it will come with other stuff too so you can put them together if you want) then Shutdown FS or whatever the red text say.
That should fix the configuration error.
Re: Problem Debranding c905a
Wow, thanks a lot! However now I have a problem accessing data on my phone. I have a data plan with at&t but apperantly I have to setup a data account and it gives me an option for PS data or CS data, I don't know which one to do or how to set it up. Before I debranded the phone it was set to MEdia Net but that does not appear any more.
Also for some reason I don't see WiFi under Connectivity.
Do you guys have any idea why or what I should do?
Ok I figured out how to get the internet to work, but I still do not have Wifi. Does anyone know how to get/enable it?
Re: Problem Debranding c905a
your phone is not 100% debranded, you need to use GENERIC MAIN, FS and Custpack to fully debrand your phone
Re: Problem Debranding c905a
Okay I see. Sorry if this is noobish but what is FS?
Re: Problem Debranding c905a
FS is the file system for the phone that contains Picture, video, audio files, sound drivers, settings, etc. and your custpack should match the FS (eg. if you use C905_R1BA038_FS_AMERICA_RED53 and you custpack should be GENERIC_AMERICA)

So then I decided to try to flash it with a2uploader, but I accidently flashed it with the wrong region type firmware( i used C905_R1FA035_FS_APAC-ANZ_RED53) and when i tried to start the phone i got a configuration error. So I then tried to flash it with C905_R1BA038_FS_AMERICA_RED53, but i still got the same message when starting the phone. Now I can not do anything with the my phone.
What should I do? Am I still using the wrong firmware?
Use these files:
C905_R1DA032_MAIN_GENERIC_SI_RED53
C905_R1DA032_FS_AMERICA_RED53
C905_1209-4778_R6A_GENERIC_AMERICA
Re: Problem Debranding c905a
Ok so I'm guesssing I'm supposed to flash it with both at the same time? Or do I flash it with "C905_R1DA032_MAIN_GENERIC_SI_RED53" first and then flash it again with "C905_R1DA032_FS_AMERICA_RED53"
Okay, thank you to everyone. I got everything up and running. I just have one last question though. Can I still use the Sony Ericsson Update Service to update my phone or will I have to flash it with A2uploader whenever an update comes out? (cause I kinda find the firmwares a bit confusing)
