I have a T-Mobile branded k800i. I want to debrand it, flash a generic Main firmware and central europe filesystem. Do I need to change GDFS in order not to receive "Configuration error..." message?

you don't need to change GDFS, you got it right at the right time. you receive that message coz you did not flash the custpack, for configuration error plz read here : CONFIGURATION ERROR - Answer is here - Top Sony Forums
