k790i won't turn on

Hi all,

I've found an earlier thread pointing to a potential solution for a problem similar to mine, and tried to follow the instructions, but to no avail.

The symptom: k790i does not turn on, a red light in the infrared port flashes once instead.

Why didn't the attempted solution work: my computers (Vista Biz 32 SP2, XP Pro 32 SP3) don't seem to recognize the phone when I connect it while holding C or 2+5. I tried removing all the existing drivers for the phone using USBDeview, but it didn't help.

Any suggestions on how to get the drivers working so that I can repair erom, or do I have a different problem altogether?

If infrared blink once time,try to charge your battery,because maybe it is problem.
Then,try to update EROM if your K790 is CID52.
Why don't you post log from XS++ when you connect phone?

If drivers are already installed..,it 'll not show up any message while connecting in vista...If its not detecting after successful installation..,then its a hardware prob..
