SE 760I restarts and unable to upgrade firmware

HI everyone.:)

My w760 with out any notice simply switched-off and when i switched it on it kept restarting every 3 sec as soon as I press the ON switch.:confused:

I tried to upgrade the firmware using A2Uploader the process completes with no error but when i switched the phone on again the same thing happened. phone restarted. At first I thought that it could be a hardware failure but then i check to see if the firmware version was upgrade to my surprise it was not.:mad:

I then re flashed it with a2 uploader still he firmware didn't change finally i did it with seus still no change i uninstalled seus downloaded a fresh one from the site for w760i still no change

Could this be a hardware issue after all will this be successful if i use a box to flash:rolleyes:.??

if anyone know or have come across this issue previously please help me

I too had the same problem before. i can help you if i get some more details.

1. Did you drop your phone in water before?
2. does the display of your phone lits up when started?
3. Did you flashed yours before?

reply and i will give you a solution... don't worry lol.

if your answer for the above is as follows,

1.Yes
2.Yes
3.No

then try deleting

1. tpa\preset\system\custmenu\cust_menu_data.dat &
2. tpa\preset\system\custmenu\cust_menu_done_unpackin g.dat

and of course, do backup

it worked for me.

remove memory card and see if it help, most of the se phones restart due to problem in memory card, if it solve, connect your memory with card reader and run a scan disk, it will help

yeah sure, does not matter how many times you have flash

what if i had already flashed? i tried to follow your path but in custmenu it is empty:( what next

and i did flash it many time after this started happening,,,, and the display does light up and then restarts blank black display

I had the same problem with my 760. I had the R3BA035 FS and I used SEUS to update to R3EA0037 and work properly (so far). My problem was I lost all my personal data (contacts, messages), since I cann't do backup while the phone was restarting. Any suggestion to do backup in such case???

I got the same problem right now and none of the above is working!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
