SE W580i battery problem.

Well, I was out with a few friends on Friday night when it started to rain. I quickly swapped my phone from my jeans pocket to my waterproof coat pocket. We got back to my friends house, wet through and my phone had switched off so I tried to turn it back on and the right side light turns green. So I took out the battery and left it to dry.
The next day I looked at the battery and this is what I saw:

Notice the red bit on mine. So after noticing that, I tried my friends battery turned it on and still only get the green light on the right side of my phone but the battery works perfect in her phone.
Anyone have any ideas on what to do? I depend so much on my phone for life.

the phone may have some water damge does it turn on with a diffent battry or not

Hi philzfog. What can be done to a w580i that gets wet? Mine wont connect to anything using C button. If I use the 2+5 it starts to see it in setool2lite, XS++ and Far but nothing happens. It stops and this is the log from setool2lite using 2+5;
