C905 battery issue - charging fault

Hi,

I've recently bought a second hand C905 and it has the following problem:

I charge it up and it gets so far (30% or 50%) then either shows fully charged or reports a charging error. The battery is not the problem as I've tried it in other phones and it's fine. I've reflashed the firmware, but the problem is still there. Otherwise the phone works perfectly fine.

Why would the phone then lose charge quickly or not charge to the full amount? If I charge the battery fully on another phone and then place it in the C905, it won't turn on....like it thinks that the battery is dead!!

Any advice on fixing this myself?

it maybe has the phone been water damged at all ie red markers were the battry goes or on the battry

No water damage anywhere.

Does anyone know of a hardware fix for this?

try new battry do u know were it was unlocked ?

I've tried several batteries already with no success - same problem. Will a brand new battery make a difference?

I don't know where it was unlocked. Why do you ask Philtzfog? Should I get it relocked and then unlock it again?

becuse a lot off plp are haveing battry drain problems after useing the arex online free unlocking service was seeing if u had used that to unlock it if not it could be a hardwere fault if its not that old u can send it back to sony and they will replace it its worth a shot as its most probly a hardwere fault

It's second hand and I only have the receipt for this and not the "original" receipt.

How would the service center know the difference between these receipts. Would they know that it's second hand?

If not, then I'll send it in!!

On my receipt, there's an IMEI number, so they can tell the receipt and phone match....

Ps. If I do decide to send it in, should Ireflash the phone with it's original firmware?

phone them up to see what they say as it should still be under warnty and if u reflash it with seus it should put it back to how it should be b4 u send it back

I've sent them an email today to find out what they have to say!
