Problem with 4 GB M2 Card in w910
I got 4 GB Sony Memory Stick Micro card [M2 card] to use it with my Sony Ericsson W910i which
can be expandable up to 4 GB max.
When I navigated to file manager and memory card contents for the first time, it showed me 'No
Files'. I thought it won’t have any files and folders.
Later using the adapter I inserted it into my laptop and to my surprise it showed me some folders
and XML files.
I added music files and some picture files into appropriate folders.
Even after adding the files, the mobile detects the card and showed my file contents. But within
some minutes it again displayed 'No Files'.
Now this is my problem: Sometimes the mobile detects the card and music library gets updated with
the card contents. If I try playing music, it shows 'Failed'.
Then navigating to file manager shows 'No Files' again. Sometimes it displays 'Memory Card not
inserted'.
For this entire problem I have to remove and reinsert the card. This doesn’t mean there is a problem
with my Phone.
It plays with my 2 GB card fine.
I tried with SE W760 phone also, same problem came. I wonder will there be any problem with my
card.
I even tried formatting the Card in Windows XP machine.
I can’t reinsert the card 100 times/day.
Kindly help me in this concern.:(

maybe yuor card is locked.
try to look the card properties. try some explorer application in your phone.
and look the card from that application.

Re: Problem with 4 GB M2 Card in w910
Try formatting your card. If could be the difference between FAT32 or NTFS. Check the card's properties of it thru my computer on ur PC, and format it again. I had a 1gb card before I got the 4gb card for my w910i and the 1gb gave me the same grief. This is how I solved it, Use full format- don't quick format it. Don't worry though. The w910i does accept 4gb cards.
Failing that, find the receipt, and take it back to where you bought it for a replacement.
Hope this helps!

i have a w910i and i am using 4gb m2 card too. i seldom have this problem but when i do i just reinsert the card and tata it works like a charm again
Re: Problem with 4 GB M2 Card in w910
First backup all ur files in ur memory card to ur pc,then do a virus scan
Then go to properties and do a check for fixing any errors
Still the same problem then do a quick format
