W850i White Screen Flash

Ok so I seem to have the dreaded white screen flash on my W850 and happened when I connected my phone to my computer for a simple file transfer, selected the file transfer screen, phone rebooted as normal, but then didn't start the file transfer mode and simply the screen began flashing white.

Does anyone know of a known or easy method of fixing it as it seems to be a common problem, but doesn't seem to be any set method for actually fixing it, and I assume it involves flashing the firmware (but have never done anything like that before).

I tried updating via SEUS (and it went through ok), but it didn't fix anything, screen still flashes white when turned on, I assume the fact it through ok though means the phone isn't completely screwed and should still be fixable?

use se tool ite for a read out to see if it shows as a k700 please

yes, using XS++ it does show it as a K700

u need to replace the ribbon and top keypad then fully reflash loads off plp with this problem this week lol

From my service experience this mit be a software fault.Try full flash.if fails.,try changing the display strip(comes with front keypad,loud speaker,mmc slot)

Hey! Has anyone managed to resolve this problem?
I got this problem too a while ago, the phone was working well but after I woke up in the morning the phone was flashing white every 5 secs, and the same thing happened if I removed the battery and restarted the phone.

I have tried to repair it by flashing main + fs + customization with XS++ and restore my gdfs backup, but I rather think it´s a hardware problem, do you have any ideas of how to tackle this problem?

I discovered an interesting thing, the Firmware Version, region customization and more is resetting itself after a flashing, why is that happening?
