what is this thing about firmware? how do I find out what firmware my K750i is? is worth upgrading, and also I have read about making my K750i into a W800i, does this work, is it easy to do? is it free? can I do it? I have the usb cable that came with the phone. thank you.

I got a D750 (aka K750) flashed into W800 myself. It works and it is for free!
You can do it by yourself with the usb cable (DCU-60) that came with the phone.
For CID36 you can use the program Gflash, itīs easy to use.
For CID49 you have to use XS++, you can use that program for CID36 too but itīs just a little more complicated, but just take the time and read about how to handle it!

how do I tell what CID my phone is? I managed to do the left right * thing, firmware is R1DB001
connect it to XS++, or Phone XS, turned off, pressing C until it is being recognized the info of your phone will be listed, including CID
