w850i flashing white screen, even when turned off
heres a WSOD problem with a twist, the screen on my w850i flashes on and off every few seconds even when its turned off, as soon as i insert the battery it starts doing it. the phone just vibrates briefly when i turn it on and keeps flashing.
When i connect it to the computer it makes the connect and disconnect noise in windows XP, it continues to do this repeatedly as if im connecting and disconnecting the phone rapidly.
Ive installed the drivers for the phone but XS++ wont detect it.
Is anyone able to offer some help or advice for this problem?

also it will register in xs++ when i press 2 and 5 when plugging into computer but not 'c', any ideas why this might be?

sounds like some sort off water damge or a damged power ic

The way i have solved this before is:
By simply placeing the phone in a bag of rice (obviously not cooked)
the rice seems to absorbe the water in the phone well and provided my phone with a fix, however the screen showed what seemed like snow for three days and then went.
I also then took the phone apart and did the process again as to some how hope it would not rust.
