Restored MY GDFS and now nothing

Help please - Sony K800i - restored GDFS and now nothing works at all !!

I had a Vodafone K800i in working order and unlocked (professionally) - I didnt like the Vodafone firmware and wanted to return to standard

I downloaded XS++ and made a back up of my GDFS as suggested - I went on to flash all three files - I ended up with the message 'Insert Correct SIM' - I tried a variety of custom packs to no avail so decided to restore my GDFS (the original one I created at the start of the process) - on doing so my phone has since been dead - I can now not connect to XS++ or anything - have I killed it???? .. any ideas please from you clever individuals out there
