K770 Customer Pack = Buttons don't do the right thing?

I just debranded a PAYG K770i and have managed to get it all working after hours of reading and messing around with JDFlasher and Far.

The only problem I have is that the End Call button doesn't end calls, I have to use the right softkey. The End Call Button Brings up a menu with

New Events
Running Apps
Shortcuts
Internet

Which doesn't seem right.

As well as this I can't assign up on the DPad, it always goes to my pictures which isn't too useful for me.

Is there a recommended generic firmware?

The one I used is this one: HB1-06_Gen_CDA102568_13_R8A_GENERIC_EUROPE_4

this function is for all generic, none any of the generic firmware will do like this except for the branded firmaware

Just so I'm sure that I understand, there is no generic firmware that will allow me to end a call by pressing the end call button (the button with a phone icon with a line through it)?

It's just that that sounds a bit strange to me.

generally it's not the end call, it's the activity menu, yours was a branded one and every branded phone has different function on it

Really? Aren't the phones all the same internally and it's just the firmware that makes them different? Why would the factory make them different?

I'm quite sure that you've more knowledge than me but I can't imagine that there's some hard wired difference between a phone bought in one network's shop and a phone bought in another's.

yep, the only difference is branded provider have their own develop firmware which is quite different from generic one, you will know the actual function when you put generic firmware

Right, I've put the generic firmware on and the buttons (as labelled by standard commands are wrong) so what should I do? Reflash?

if u want the button to work like they did b4 u will have to rebrand it evey firmwear has diffrnt set up fo ie voda is diffrent to o2 and gernic will give u a custom set up as
