w580 flashed beautifully, but wrong sim?!?
Hello,
I have enjoyed learning about flashing on this excellent site. My wifes phone has never had a working camera, so I thought I'd start by re-flashing the MAIN, FS and CUSTPACKS as per the instructions for using XS++. It all worked like a charm, apart from the last step - finalising, which I can't see on v3.1 of XS++, and now the phone won't start, saying PLEASE INSERT CORRECT SIM CARD.
Has anyone experienced this?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks,
Craig

Thank you for the advice - it makes sense and I should have thought of it myself. Doh!
I'll give this a go.

I know I'm straying into the territory of another thread here - but am I right in thinking that I have to buy a SETool2 lite 'credit' from somewhere before I can attempt to do the unlock patch?
This info is very obscure - I hope I'm not just being thick (again)

Thank you Rider4sia. The videos look straightforward. I am however, still unable to start the SETool2 lite program. First my antivirus recognises it as a worm, and then when I override that and keep it, I click on the little phone icon to start the program and get a message that windows cannot access the file or I may not have the appropriate permission. Its a nightmare.
Is there something i need to do to make that pesky program start?
Sorry to be so needy.

pause your antivirus program, restart your PC and try again
