Kaspersky Internet Security 2009
Hi,i have just installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 as i was sick of problems with AVG when trying to use setool2lite,does anyone else find Kaspersky very complicated to use?
Whenever i do a scan Kaspersky finds threats which it says are very dangerous but it never seems to do anything with them or offer any option to quarantine them so the next time i do a scan they show up again,am i missing something here or what?
Another thing i dont understand is the Email Training Wizard,i keep getting a message telling me that my comuter security is at risk and that i should 'fix it now' but once i have gone through the steps of the Email Training Wizard it shows up as fully protected again.
If anyone is able to enlighten me on this i would be very grateful,
Thanks.

I hate kaspersky... it always pops up useless messages and things... switch to eset NOD32. "To Quarantine" does not equal remove, in the quarantine just means that it's flagged.

Hi addict26, yes i am starting to get a bit sick of all the pop ups. I have read good reviews on kaspersky and i think it probably is quite a good tool but unfortunately it seems complicated to understand leaving you wondering whether you are using it correctly and whether or not your system is fully protected.

It should show a red popup window(sometimes it comes a bit later) to allow you to do what you want with the dangerous objects(quarantine, delete, etc.).
It seams that your PC is infected with malware, so I suggest you to make a full scan in safe mode.

And ask you to do this over and over?

It is normal, because KIS2009 is learning. Once you used all your apps, it will stop with these popups.

Hi simox, thanks a lot for the info - i have been offline for a few days so will do a scan in safe mode now and see how things work out and let you know.
