problems debranding w350a with FAR
Hi there,
I was trying to debrand my att w350a into w350i using the flash 350_R10BA015_MAIN_GENERIC_JH_RED53 & W350_R10BA015_FS_S_ASIA_LEVAN_RED53.
I have already tried using the jdflasher to create a customize_upgrade.xml file and then use the seus - the technique i used successfully with my z750a - but it doesn't seem to work that way.
anyway now that i've decided to flash it directly using FAR & JDfalsher, i downloaded the required flash main and FS. but these flash files are bins and up to my understanding i need an mbn and fbn files to start flashing.
i couldn't find a reference guide for creating those files.
and that's my question ... how to create these fbn files? or can you direct me to a detailed guide for flashing pnx5230 phones???
please forgive me if my question sound too noobish...
thanks
Engineer
Re: problems debranding w350a with FAR
look in the download section, you'll find everything but there is no solution to unlock your phone as it is a pnx5230 phones. use the far with latest jdflasher to flash your phone
Re: problems debranding w350a with FAR
be carfull as well crosflashing them becuse u may end up with no network and there is no way to fix the gdfs on it
Re: problems debranding w350a with FAR
Actually i had no problem unlocking the telephone ... from att ofcourse :)
it's just a single call.
but the problem is debranding it using the jdflasher.
my problem is that i dont know the right extensions for the files, what are the right ones to use? the .bin or the .fbn or the mbn, how to convert from one to another?
i'm just so confused... :((
Re: problems debranding w350a with FAR
you will need both mbn and fbn files, mbn is the main file and fbn is the file system of your phone. the version should be the same (main+fs)
Re: problems debranding w350a with FAR
is the drivers for w350 same as the drivers for w350a???
i ask this question because jdflasher can't recognize my phone when i press '2'!!
when i plug in my phone pressing '2' a new harware wizard come up (i already installed the drivers by the way) and jdflasher give an error timeout message!!
any help?!?
