Debrand LG Shine - Rogers Provider

I recently purchased a LG Shine from Rogers. I want to debrand it so I can have custom ringtones.

I have been researching how to do this for awhile and cannot find instructions including what software/files are required. There seems to be a ton of information for other brands but not for an LG Shine.

I apologize if this is the wrong forum to be posting on, I am just not sure where to go.


If anyone can provide me with some instructions, or even the software name that I could use it would be greatly appreciated.

No offence, but I think your phone is able to do one thing, only: to shine.

Well this might not be of much help, if you want simply to use custom ringtones without having to give Rogers your first born, there is a way without having to debrand. You can convert the ring tones to DRM and the Evil Empire phone will happily use them.
