w580i cant connect to pc

Hi everyone

I spent all day today looking for a way to fix my problem but i still dont have any luck.

So when i plug the usb wire i got with the phone into the phone it says "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not RECOGNIZE it.

I have tried everything i could find online, this site and others. Downloaded sony ericsson pc suite and the media manager but still no :(

called the phone company people and they still couldnt help me :(

and i do have a m2 chip for the phone and i did happen to put ONE song on the phone with disc2phone but now i cant even do that anymore

again my computer is unable to recognize the phone
and i also tried my old sony ericsson and it still is able to connect to my pc

Change usb port and tried again to install:

This error usually means that there is a contact error between phone fastport and the USB port on PC. If your older phone can connect with the same cable then the cable is OK. Try to clean the fastport(the phone's port) first.

i tried that guide before aswelll

welll i tried to connect the w580i to three different computers and it was the same issue :(

so i guess ill just buy a usb adapter for my m2 and get musics themes and files on to the phone this way but thanks for ur help

how should i try to clean it? blow air into? just wondering

Clean it with isopropyl alcohol (what is used with CD cleaning disks for e.g.).
