AHHHHHHHHH The Inevitable!

Hello there, I seem to have killed my phone by trying to update my firmware, heres how it happened;

i used SETool2 Lite to apply a firmware file - W850_R1ED001_MAIN_GENERIC_CY_RED52.mbn
to whic this was successful, phone turned on and i received a sim lock message saying 'insert correct sim' which had never happened before (it was unlocked to all networks) so i decided to patch it with a VFX file which didnt work :(

i thought the sensible way around this was to try and restore the original GDFS file (not a backup, i didnt create one :S) and it was another success but now the phone wont turn on at all.

I re-installed the firmware of RED52 as above and this was another sucess but it wont turn on, just a red flashing light on the power button!

The phone is a W850i, or was as the case is at the moment ;)

Go to service,because you damaged GDFS or if somebody of your friends have Setool3(or2) box(full) to repair that GDFS

so basically your saying i need to buy one of them boxes?

surely there is easier way, and for free?

ahhhhhhhhh shoot, i was hoping i wouldnt have to pay out for a repair, there must be a cable and software way to perhaps repair the GDFS?

Try contact @philzfog12 . He knows mutch more about reparing corrupted GDFS,maybe he can help you

you can buy d client logs to unlock yor phone in top sony.

You can unlock for free your phone after you repair damaged GDFS. Use this tutorial for unlock Remove SIM-lock patch generator - Top Sony Forums ,because W850 are DB2020 and CID52 (yours phone)

yeah i patched the firmware with that program, but its useless at the moment because i dont have a phone that turns on!
