How to apply original NUC code after using 'remove simlock' patch generator

If you get the unlock code from your network supplier after using Simox's great tool - remove simlock patch generator - you will need to revert your phone back to how it was before applying the patch in order for the NUC code to work properly...

I had used Simox's patch generator in order to use a SIM whilst out of my home country (thinking that the network supplier would either take too long to supply the NUC or would cost too much money...) so that I would not be paying international rates to make 'local calls'.

However, to my surprise, my network supplier - Vodafone - turned round in less than 24 hours and supplied the unlock codes (NUC) free of charge!!

When I tried to follow their instructions for inserting the 16 digit code to enable unlock, it didn't work - giving me a 'not allowed' reply to typing in the code!

I wrote back to them asking if there was something I was 'missing' doing, but they replied that it should work. I then looked again at the network menu <**< (each time it seemed to give a new reading - sometimes all 3 entries were green/unlocked, sometimes only one, sometimes two.... (Also bearing in mind that Simox's patch *fools* the phone into being unlocked !!)

I decided that if I tried flashing my phone with the original main fs and CDA files (and not using the patch that I'd previously generated) then the phone *should* revert back to its original 'locked' settings.

This I did - and the phone indeed did revert back to it's locked status.

THEN I applied the code as directed by vodafone - and yes, the phone unlocked straight away, instead of the 'not allowed' notification, I was given 'allowed' and Unlocked!

An inspection afterwards with SETools 'identity' confirmed this :-)
