a k800i help!

hi... i'm new here... kinda wanna know wat can i do with my k800i...

[1.] i just bought it a couple of months ago and i'm looking if i could upgrade it into a w series? if could, what phone model? how am i going to do that? i'm kinda new in this upgrading stuff...
[2.] can i upgrade it to k810i or the new model for its kind?... what model is it?... can i changed its software looks?... like its menu, the scroll animations and sort like that?...
[3.] can i upgrade my k800i hardware, meaning like its speakers, as everyone knows that k800i speakers is a little bit lame... can i?... how its screen?... the lights in it?... what can i upgrade in terms of hardware?...

1. You can't turn K800 into a "W"(like K750 to W800).
2.Yes, you can flash it to K810, but I think it isn't worth the trouble. You can change the menu, but you can put flash menus.
3. I don't know much about hardware, but you can change acoustics, camdriver and display driver in order to improve the sound quality/volume and the pictures quality .
4.See the appropriate threads and allways save your GDFS, when you start modding !

what ever u do .. MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR GDFS :)

not possible to make your phone into a walkman series, your phone functions and physical layout is different which makes it impossible. what you can do though is upgrade your firmware which may give you additional feature(software wise that is ie. languages, appplications) and i think K800 supports flash themes which makes your phone look really unique and cool. NOTE: like someone in the thread mentioned...MAKE A BACK UP OF YOUR GDFS. i dont know how else to stress how important that is. good luck

Is removing the sim card a necessary step?

it's not necessary but it's better that you remove sim card and memory stick!
