Does This Mean My Phone Is unlocked?
Hey guys/Galz I have a Sony Ericsson W580I Cell Phone here.
When i went into the hidden menu, the to the service info, and finally sim lock screen it shows all of the padlocks unlocked.
Network - unlocked-4
network subset-unlocked-5
service provider-unlocked-5
corporate-unlocked-5
extended-unlocked-5
So does this mean that i can put in any sim card for any provider and use it?
Thanks!

Re: Does This Mean My Phone Is unlocked?
No, to check if your phone is unlocked, put a different carrier simcard in the phone. If it doesn't say wrong card or ask for subsidy password, then your phone is unlocked. What you are describing is applications locks.
Re: Does This Mean My Phone Is unlocked?
I don't have another sim card yet, otherwise i would have just done that in the first place.
From what i've read on the net that means my phone is unlocked, so i'm just double checking.
Is there anyway to check if it is unlocked w/ out a different sim card?
Thanks!

Re: Does This Mean My Phone Is unlocked?
Connect your phone to XS++ or Setool and look at the readout. The readout should tell you if your is locked. By the way, if you are trying to use another carrier simcard in this phone, why do you want it unlocked?
