k850i Firmware and Debranding

Hi everyone, I'm a bit of a n00b to firmware flashing. I have a k850i which is on Vodafone, I did flash it before with Davinci to be unbranded but since then the touchscreen failed so I had it repaired; Vodafone reflashed it with their shitty software. Having seen the problems people have with the keys failing etc I'm reluctant to pay again to reflash it with Davinci in case it breaks again soon. This lead me to try and find a free alternative, and thus I ended up here.

From what I have seen, it is still not possible using XS++ or otherwise to flash a DB3150 phone, so I cannot flash my k850 without going through Davinci and paying for it. Which made me ask the question; why are firmware (main and FS) files so readily available if no one can flash them anyway?? Am I just being stupid or is this completely pointless? Is there a way of doing this free and I just haven't found it?

Please excuse my probably stupidity since I am new to this whole thing, and thanks for any replies in advance. :)

new firmare is R1FA035.upgarade with Davinci

NO - you can't flash K850 with JDflasher for now,or with any other free tool(it doesn't matter if is CID52 or CID53 ,because he have all new platform DB3150 like @spuk87 notice by yourself)

For the moment, K850 is only CID 52. Also, as you know, it is DB3150. There is no free support yet (except for setool box).

So you have different choices.

2.DaVinci
3.Buy a setool box and have the best tool for modding and working with almost all models of Sony Ericsson.
