SE w580i problem, cant acess flash

so i just got my w580i today in the mail today from ATT
i looked it up online as soon as i got it, and found out about debranding and unlocking it
i am very interested in debranding it, but when i try to do so, i cant get it to let me access flash
not with the SE updater, not with SeTool2, not with XS++
i hold the C button and plug in the adapter like prompted
and, i get a quick triple ding in windows signaling that something connected
but not like the normal signal
but none of the applications will allow me to do anything to the flash
not even the SE updater
please help if possible
and, yes, i did install the usb flash driver, by copying it to system32/drivers/

p.s. i really hate to make my first post a post asking for help, but i've looked for hours and hours, and tried very many times, read many many stickies, but i still cant seem to get this phone to let me get into the flash

see, the problem is, it wont do the hold C and connect part

as XS++ says
i do that, and it doesn't find my phone
SeTool2 lite doesn't either, nor does the SE updater tool
any help please?

Have you tried to reinstall usb drivers?

how would i go about this?

ok, i got into it on my friends laptop
its CID53, and i understand that is harder to unlock
could i get a little help with how to do it?
i am more interested in debranding, unlocking is of no concern to me really

and i tried to debrand it
but i got the red blinking light thing
so right now the SE updater is updating
hopefully that will fix it :/
