Total Phone Noob Requesting Help Debranding W580i

Please forgive me if I'm not posting the required information that was mentioned in the forum stickies.

I've read over this guide: XS++ 3.1 Guide-Flashing, Customizing, Recovering - Top Sony Forums but I am still not confident on the process of flashing my new W580i.

My Understanding

I have the flash drivers in a folder on my desktop.

I have XS++ 3.1 (the version linked to within the guide) in a seperate folder on my desktop.

I run XS++ and connect my phone using the "C-button method" then install the flash drivers like the guide says.

I then back up my GPFS, and find appropriate firmware for my phone based on my region found at: Top Sony - Languages Description

Question 1: Is AMERICA_1 correct for an English firmware for Ontario, Canada?

When I get the firmware from: Top Sony Forums, it will have a MAIN file, an FS file and a custpack.

I flash the phone with the MAIN and FS file, then I flash a separate time with the custpack and the phone will be good to go?

Question 2: Could someone please point out the errors in my understanding of the process?

I think you understood well the tutorial; however, identify your phone: if it has EROM CID 53, you can't do it with XS, you must use Far + JDFlasher.

Ah. Alright - I'm guessing XS is still able to recognize and identify CID 53 phones so I can use it to tell if mine is CID 53 or not?

I've had a problem when installing the flash drivers ... During the wizard as it's copying the custom files, an error box pops up with:

Setup cannot copy the file wdfcoinstaller01005.dll.

Question 3: How could I fix this?

When Windows ask for location-point them to folder with Drivers ,not with custom files

I've been directing it to the folder entitled, "SEMC USB Flash Driver" which I think is the right one?
