Help With Flashing SE w580i (header type: unknown/damaged)

i've been trying to flash my SE w580i with x++ 3.1
but everytime it ends with "header type: unknown/damaged"
i've tried redoing this many times but it still ends with the same message
can someone please help me?

is it really easy to damage the GDFS when flashing?
im scared to try flashing now cause im worried that i'll destory my phone ><

always backup your GDFS before falshing
