What the heck is a cust pack?

I cant seem to find a full explanation of what it is. When i upgraded my w610i firmware to R8BA024 europe 2 (my region) with a MAIN and FS (se tool lite 1.11) , I didnt use a cust pack??

is that bad?

..well i did a get a configuration error when i switched my phone on after the flash, but I fixed that by editing the customize.xml.

And since then I have added walkman 2.0 skins, themes, and flash menus on my W610i and the phone has been working fine.

1) So what is a cust pack, and do i still need one??

2) Also can i ask, How can i Mix and match flash menus and normal themes, Because I want to use my phones default walkman theme background and gui, WITH this OTHER flash menu that I have, How can i do this???

custom pack contains the language, when you install EUROPE 2 in the phone language there's only english when you install the custom pack it will put on the rest of the languages.

Some phones works without the custom pack, others say error, contact operator.

oh I see, well i don't need any other languages so its pretty pointless then,

and my phone did say error contact operator, but that was simply fixed by editing the customize.xml

The customize.xml is the 'core' of any custom pack. So, you customized the phone after all ;)

It also contains the configuration of the phone so after you flash using MAIN and FS you won't get the "configuration error"

does that mean that 3 files are required to flash a phone?
