C702 Sat Nav
I have a C702 generic (not branded or locked) with wayfinder(£40 per year) sat nav pre installed when I try to activate the application I am denied access with an error message stating contact my service provider. I have also tried to install Nav4all (which is a free prog) but also denied, in this case the message states invalid file type.I have contacted my service provider (Vodafone) on 2 occasions and both times been told the fault is not at there end "I beg to differ". In my opinion Vodafone are blocking me from downloading this type of application to force me/you to purchase there own brand of sat nav(£60 per year) application. If I am right surely this has to be wrong as I own the phone and pay for any data I use. Has any body else had this problem because if I am right and don't want to be held to ransom then it renders the gps of the C702 useless. Is there any prog out there that I can load on to a m2 card that does not require access to the internet data like the afore mentioned progs.

Re: C702 Sat Nav
Sorry for renewing topic but this is common problem c702 users have. Solution: you have to use INTERNET not WAP connection. In UK it works in vodafone, tmobile. Havn't tested in orange and 3g. Will not work in o2 payg as they offer only wap connection.
Usually when configuring you got WAP configuration for c702 from networks website. Thats why you should get internet configuration choosing other model like p1i.

Re: C702 Sat Nav
Thanks for the reply. Where do I get the required settings for internet, I have tried both Vodafone and se sites but can only find wap settings. Also don't suppose you know if it is possible to load and run a satnav programme that doesn't need an internet or wap connection.

Re: C702 Sat Nav
You can try some free software that uses preloaded maps on the memory card like TrekBuddy - http://www.trekbuddy.net
