It can on my phone, the K810i. When calling simply press options and record.
i can record on my w580i
my w600 and w580 (and i think my z520a as well) could record calls.
During the conversation, as in locked keyboard click the left soft button More > RecordQuote:

every se have goodie for recording calls but youve got to tell your caller that you are recording it....law is law...
