Greets all.
I am in the need of flashing (down grading) a K700i for a close friend, but for those connectors all I have are left from my T610 times are a T28 serial cable and a Parallel (USB powered) dongle for DIV.
Is there any more modern program that can flash a K700 using either of these cables please? I've been unable to find an USB cable to do the flashing.
I think you can use T28 service cable with "SEMCtool 2.2".
Well this is not working very well. So far I've tried with smctool 2.2, 3.3 and 5 from this site. Of those 2.2 and 5 recognize the phone when I press power but then give me an error (some error code I couldn't google. I can try again tonight if you need the number). The only one that worked is 3.3_cracked from here, but that version has arm flashing dissabled, which wouldn't be bad if I wanted to unlock it, but what i want is to flash the phone (main and fs)
Any ideas please?
Try unlock with semctool 33p
Chose com port, select model, enable "read all codes", baudrate 115200bps, pull out battery, connect cable, click "DO CHEAP SHIT USB JOB"
When it write "Switch phone ON"
Quickly put in battery.
Then look what prog write and do as it ask. Dont disconect phone before is everithing finished. For disconecting wait.
It will read all codes.
Then insert unacceptible sim card, turn on,
when is powered on type
<**< select network than input network code.
Whenever ask to power on phone just play with battery, out, in...
It will work.
For flashing I cannot remember that I try secure free tool.
I was flashing it with HWK, SeTool, GOT, Cruiser and other tools witch are not free.
The trouble is that the phone doesn't needs unlocking, it's already unlocked. But I haven't been able to find anyone to lend me an usb cable to use another program.
My problem with phones (and getting enough posts on this board) is that I am a hobbist or a prosumer. So buying certain cables (special unlocking cables) or software is not cost effective to me as I won't make it back by servicing phones professionally
flash it with old cracked setool, wich is free
if your com cable for t28 is a data cable you need to turn it into a service cable by changing some pinouts, search google for that
and you need to cut the red wire in your cable connector, the one wich gives 5V to the phone, since that will start the phone when you try to flash it
Sigh I'll thank you for the help onlyone even when I've not been able to solve my troubles. It's incredibly frustrating. I've not been able to find the right version of SeTool anywhere with T28 support, and only a few offer K700i support at all. And I've been completely unable to find someone to lend me a simple USB cable for the phone. so it seems I'm stuck
Sir, you can use the SEMC Tool 8.4 which is most stable than the other version...You can flash your phone with your t28 cable...
usbsmart 8.4 doesn't work well with that phone
instead setool old is all over the web, searched google and found it in 40 seconde here
you need to use a t28 service cable, if your cable is a data cable, you can convert it easy, search google for the conversion, i explainded myself right here on this forum couple of time so you can look in my posts if you want
