Can't unlock K700i, get 305011 & 000409 codes SEMCTOOL 3.3

Hello all

I have read a lot on this forum but can't understand a lot of the terms used, so thought maybe I'll just ask & see if any body can assist, please.

Very new to unlocking, just wanted to unlock my K700i, after local shop said they don't have the cable, so tried to DIY it.

Got a PC USB cable for unlocking from ebay - it has label that says SETOOL on it and has a connector like phone jack (RJ45?) into a small box and then a connector that plugs into the SE K700i phone, very similar to a data transfer cable that I use to transfer photos etc between phone and PC. But this unlock cable has this phone jack connector and larger box and cost a lot more, I assume it's a Sphere GSM Fighter as that's what one of the drivers seems to be for it.

When I use it with any web-available unlock software, the phone comes on when I run the software, but the error message on the software says nothing much happened. :confused: Been trying for 12 hours now. Pretty frustrated.

Cable seller told me to use Semctool v 3.3 craxored which I have tried. Phone comes on then goes off when I use the software, get this on program error message:

SEMCTOOL I got:
Switch phone ON
Get phone info
ERROR: 305011

Sometimes, I get error 000409 instead.

On SEMCTOOL I got:
Bypass boot authority
Phone OTP CID: 226
Load data to phone
ERROR: Unsuported CID

SONICS I got:
power it ON now!
Chip Id: 0x1777
CID detected: 62370

No idea what these codes mean! Was told I can only read codes and then do the manual unlock by <**< method of input (my ECK/ESL is only one with padlock down).

Anyway I get those error messages whichever I try, Read or Clear.

Also I wonder if I can use the DSS25 docking desk cable unit for unlocking?

If I can't cable unlock then apart from paying a lot to the network to unlock me, anyone recommend a good value unlock service or free code generator. I understand I shouldn't give my IMEI out to avoid cloning, though.

The only person who can give you a unlock code is your operator.

Or you try Semctool v8.4 cracked.

try to use the old setool
@the others - stop posting nonsense, there is no patch unlock for this phone, there is only permanent unlock.
so, read tutorial about old setool in the tutorial area, the program in spreaded all over the net
usualy the phone starts with old serial cables, be sure to select the corect interface in usbsmart 3.3 (and port number) or in setool , wich by the way, are the best tools for this job.

Thank you all for the help. I unlocked the phone, here is how for other newbies like me who are clueless as I am...

K700i Phone off, no SIM
Semctool v3.3 cracked used with DSS-20 sync station plugged into usb on pc NOT a hub (doesn't work on my hub).
Match COMs up via Control Panel --> System --> Hardware -->device manager
and start Semctool 3.3 and set it to same COM and DSS20/25 setting
and click Read Codes and then Do Job... button

You'll see program start and may say power on, I ignored that.
You'll then see various codes and info scroll up, in my case convert CID to brown
then it gave all codes on page, then back to red.
This took 1 to 2 mins.
Do not close the program, copy/paste the codes readout and note the codes to Unlock & Relock as you'll need them in a moment.
Then with phone on, enter service menu using direction button and stars <**< and scroll to where yellow padlock is and enter whichever code is needed manually, eg ESL/ECK 8 digits, then OK. It will then say unlocked.
(It may be the locked on shows automatically as the only option.)
Take care to enter unlock code and not relock code as you get limited chances (3 ?). Type carefully or you'll lock the phone up and more hassle.
I think that's it, job done. Insert whatever sim. Test. (Mine now unlocked)

DSS20 easy to find, quite cheap if you don't have one.

I don't think you can use ordinary DCU cable.

!!!! Remember - it won't work via the hub/multi USB adaptor! Plug straight into the PC on a main USB socket. !!!! Won't function via usb hub with the dss-20 or dss-25 - imho. If software does not recognise presence of phone, unplug usb and plug in again. Clue that this problem is apparent if you get message "Cannot open COM3" from software. Just close program. Unplug usb. Plug in again, restart software, should work. Try again a few times, usually works.

I hope this info clear - took me 12 hours to sort it by trial & error although help here was good, thank you people.
