sorry...its for k550i and i try with orange and it work with

    editing layout.xml

and what is this layout for????????????
    phone model????????????

just copy and paste specific line that needs to be changed in the layout so that operator name does not appear on the main display.

so you got the file from somewhere else. you dont know what line of the layout.xml to edit so that operator logo is not visible.

here is what i wanted you to post, thinking that you might have another way of doing it:

    editing layout.xml
    /tpa/system/layout/layout.xml
    Removing Operator Text:
    1. search for the object StatusIndication.
    2. set TitleMode to '4'.

***NOTE*** AFTER CAREFUL EXAMINATION OF THE XML CODE IN LAYOUT FILE (FOR K800) I HAVE NOTICED THAT THERE IS MORE THAN ONE LINE OF CODE ADDED/MODIFIED, HENCE FOLLOWING JUST THOSE 2 STEPS FROM ABOVE WILL NOT
RESULT IN OPERATOR REMOVAL FOR DB2020 PHONES.

the result is like this (pic attached)

i tested with different operator, so it does not matter what operator you have. script will remove any network related message on main display like

    -operator name
    -no network coverage message
    -searching message

as stated before this script WORKS and has been tested on K550 and W660 phones.
