    Exclamation w200i, virus problem

    hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii,

    this is 2 ur notice, i'm using sony ericsson w200i model. whenever i'm connecting my cell phone to the data cable. my anti virus on the pc is detecting a virus named "microsoft powerpoint.exe" .

    how can I deal with this problem??? plz suggest me...

    moreover, wat is the procedure 2 format the ericsson cell phone.

    disable antivirus protection.
    microsoft powerpoint is a aplication of microsoft office, it is not a virus!

    Probably your memory card could be infected with virus. Format the memory card from File manager -> More -> Format ext. memory . Dont try to format mameory card in Windows.

    disable ur virus guard and connect the phone. then the pc identifies ur phone as a removable device. Then go inside the removable disk,search for any .exe files inside those folders, if thers any delete those files. this should solve ur problm!!!

    wat will be happen to windows if we formate memory card in windows i already done alot of formate of memory card in windows:confused:

    Not only the memory card it can even be in the phone memory as well, thats y u get it over and over again even after u format ur memory card. Do this format ur memory card via windows using a card reader, once u do this clear ur phone memory without inserting the memory card. A master reset would b much better. And ur done after wards.

    no viruses will affect the phone and wot anti-virus u use it's most probley a false positive

    Its true dat the phone wont b affected. Bt in this case his phone is acting as a carrier. There is a virus sum where in his phone.

    lol viruses can't run on sony ericsson firmware there could be a virus on the phone memory but i reccon it's just a false positive by your anti-virus
