updating firmware should help.
I agree with updating firmware but like everyone said it the hardware problem
and also flash is slow for non-reason even on my computer flash look like it make my computer slower than normal a lot
Sometimes update the firmware to newer one will do it , and some times higher capacity of memory reduce the flash menu speed , i this case U must reduce memory capacity !
This is interesting - there might be a way to increase the speed after all. The latest update for my phone (R8BE001) included a new version of java. The flash menus are now much more responsive now then they were before. Coincidence? Without having a changelog I'm not sure what else they changed. I'm using the same flash files that I was before. Is the software that controls the menu actually in java? That might explain it. Anyway, it was a nice surprise! :) The light bug is still there though so hopefully that gets fixed soon. :(
I wonder when there will be firmware patches that increase the cpu speed and people start overclocking their mobile phones... with additional cooling required.

I think you should first update to the latest firmware, sometime it could help. If not, go for another phone cause it the hardware problem.
