Hi,
I have a sony ericsson z710i that i bought from fido in canada and i got a usb cable with it. i'm able to transfer pictures and music with it. can i use this usb cable to flash my phone?

You probably have a DCU-60 cable. If yes, you can flash your phone by this cable :)

Like everyone said above, DCU-60 cable is the cable you need to work on your phone. ie firmware changes and de-branding

if you are not well with flashing.try with old phone then play with your costly phones.

yes u can flash with the supplied cable with softwares like phone xs or xs++

Standard SETool cable isn't the same as DCU-60
