Its Dosent Matters. Its Entirely Up To You Whether You Convert To CID52 First Or Later.

Well thanx for this post mohdumer, but what I'm wondering is :
if I upgrade to CID52, I'll have to find CID52 firmwares AND SF files ?

As I said, my priority is to unlock the @*#! handset.

Get rid of the Vodaf*** portal comes second...

And as you might have guessed, though not that dumb with puters, I'm rather a newcomer with mobile phones.

BTW I'd thank... SFR, thanks to whom (and their dumbness) I owe the pleasure to know this forum and its members.

    Flashing w580i

Hi everyone. I downloaded a main & fs file for my w580i that's on order. It will arrive AT&T branded, which of course I want to get rid of. The files saved on my harddrive as .wtf and .wtm files..will that be a problem when using them with xs3.1? thanks all.:)

The Formats Supported On XS++ 3.1 Are *.mbn For Main And *.fbn For FS. Furthermore *.bin For Both Main And FS Are Also Supported.
Whereas I Know *.wtf And *.wtm Are Formats That Wotan Client Uses And They Are Encypted Which Cant Be Used In XS++.

Use any "GENERIC" MAIN that is your phones CID.
The FS must match the firmware version of your MAIN and check the languages page to know what region you need.
The Custpack must match your firmware version and region.
And I don't think that the CDA is important.

    thinx man
    good Luke

Thanks a lot, but doesn't this mean, if I upgrade to CID52 and I want to do some customizing, I'll have to use CID52 firmware and FS?

    (I might have some too)

it might be more simple to first unlock, THEN customize to generic CID51 and THEN upgrade, no?

    If it's of any use....

    [puzzled]

in GDFS tab, I find the locks. It said "read the lock code or change it to 0000 if it's db2020.
Can I use it to unlock my w580i? (db2020). IF I try, may it lock my fone forever?
