    W810i Wallpaper

    Hi, I was making some 176 x 220 wallpapers for my W810i, when it was displaying on the computer, the quality is great, but right after I put it on my phone, the quality becomes crap, it's all pixalated, any tricks in making it better quality? and I'm using Adobe CS2 to make 176 x 220 resolution so it should be perfect fitting

    thanks

    Yes I have an advice: Don't save in .jpeg/.jpg ! Instead, save in .png and it won't be pixelated :)

    Other than that, don't use the application that came with the cd, I don't remember what is called :D
    I use Adobe Photoshop, I crop an resize the images to 176x220, save in .jpg and they all look fantastic.

    @addict yeah I'll give that a try

    edit: @addict: yeah I did try saving it with .png but the quality is the same

    @flaw I did do that though :rolleyes:

    another insight: I was wondering because some pictures that I made with .jpg does come out nicely, but most of them is bad, and it got me thinking maybe because the original resolution of the pictures was great?? the one that comes out great was originally from a wallpaper resolution...any relationship there?

    if you save your jpeg's with minimal compression will be look great ;) (but files will be bigger size)

    I use photoshop to create wallpapers too ;)

    If you saving photo by option: File / Save for Web u will be able to set compression level in jpeg's (option: Quality - set to 100% - after this image will be in minimal compression / max quality)

    ;)

    ^pichu I tried the compression thing, but it won't make the pictures any better in quality

    If source file is in good quality, destination file will not be a worse quality than orginal.

    I guess the quality of that picture isn't good, since I used a desktop wallpaper to make a picture, it was way better
