    w580i shake control

Can anyone explain to me how this shake control works? Sometimes it kicks in, sometimes, it doesn't. Is there some kind of setting to turn it off and on?

The shake control is kinda neat, but also kinda pointless. To use it just hold down the Walkman key (the one with the same stylized 'W' as is on the back of the phone) and give the phone a shake or flick and it should work! The feature seems to work much better if you shake the phone side to side instead of up and down.

I'm not aware of any way to turn it off.

Keep the walkman key pressed shaking the phone left or right. It works like a charm 4 me. Ther is no option to turn it off.

In early proto video's it was possible to turn it of: at the place you can turn shuffle on and off.

btw. this is from dre@ms over at Se-nse:

    Hi Guys,

I came across this website which has the steps on how to use the shake feature in w580i without pressing the walkman button.

    Here it goes.

    1. Press Walkman (W) button.
    2. Press Play.
    3. Press down arrow (V).
    4. Press right arrow 2 times (> >).
    5. Press Walkman (W) button again.
    6. Shake the phone left or right.

    Shortcut - ( W Play V > > W ) - Shake shake.

    Song shuffles. Cool isnt'it?

It cool that I can shake without press and hold the walkman button.
You can tap, slide, and spin the phone.
