    Batteries from Ebay

    Hey,

I recently bought a battery from ebay and when i use it, it seems like my k790 is only able to see/charge the battery to the yellow state. I got a replacement for it, and once again, the battery only seems to recharge to the yellow condition. The oem works fine.

Has anyone else had this problem or bought batteries from ebay?

Ebay is full of SE fake accessories... There were a lot of HPM82 fake headphones too... My advice is to use ONLY original Sony Ericsson batteries. They won't make any trouble.

+1 the fleabay batteries will always give issues.

I've bought batteries off ebay twice.

First time was for my Motorola v300 way back years ago... teh new battery never charged past 70% and it dies in about 4 hours STANDBY

Second was for my W810i (second battery as a backup). Once again never charged full and it died fast.... bottom line is i think SE and phone companies put a lot of tech into their batteries these days and the china knock off's just cant keep up. The batteries look and fit like they should, but they just dont have the perfect specs.

My 810i battery still lasts me about 5+ days on a single charge with moderate use. One of the best features of the phone!

You should always buy battery at official reseller.

Li-Ion batteries die after about 2 years whether you use them or not. Avoid buying them at eBay. Avoid them also if it seems like they've been stored for quite a while. Pretty much caveat emptor there, huh?

Yeh that's what I thought, eBay is full of fake SE items. But from another thread they said it was as good as the original. Is this true?
