Hello,
You forget to flash customization.It must be same as FS file,just reflash phone with 3 files Main+FS India+Custom file India.
You don't have to download other main and FS,just customization.

OK finally my phone is working now
The problem was not with the process it was actually the XS++ version
So to conclude
I had Sony Ericsson w550i
Purchased in India
Had faced the " White Screen of Death " problem
So googled , realized it's a firmware issue rather than hardware
So needed to flash the phone
Used XS++ 3.1 ( The first mistake )
Secondly not flashing the custom pack ( it's necessary after you flash the device)
Trying to flash a phone that was low on battery (because the phone didnt indicate the battery level as it was dead)

What got my phone working (steps)
1. Download XS++ 2.2 (software used to flash and no matter if a new version is available download 2.2 )
2. Download the two important files
a. Main file vaibav1 - Download - 4shared
b. Firmware file vaibhav2 - Download - 4shared
3. While the files are downloading charge your phone for atleast 2 hours
4. Now ready to flash !!!
5. Remove the battery
6. Launch XS++ 2.2
7. Put the battery back
8. Press the connect button on XS++
9. Now while the screen shows you have 30 seconds to connect... Hold the 'C' button of the phone and connect the USB while still holding the C button
10. Your device will now connect and some long text will scroll
11. On the right side of XS++ select and browse the two downloaded files respectively
12. Tick the custom pack checkbox (3rd) and select the last drop down ( own_custpack)
13. Press flash
14. Now wait patiently as the phone will be flashed in two stages, it takes about half an hour for the flashing process
15. After its done " unplug your device " will be shown in the log
15. Unplug your phone, remove the battery, insert a working sim put the battery back and then switch on your phone
16. "Please wait", this message will be displayed.. so wait
17. Your phone has resurrected ( it starts :-) )
