K800i Debranding / Flashing problem & updating the camera

First of all, hello to everyone.

I am new to phone modding due to a wrong move of using Wotanserver to change the languages of my phone which was on CID 52 at the time. I updated the phone and all was well till I turned it on and recieved the error: "Insert the correct SIM" CID 53.
After much reading etc... I realised the phone was locked and I needed an unlock patch or number.
After much reading and researching I used D-Unlocker to get the unlock codes and see there unlocked!
Now to the problem no 1:

In Internet Profiles in Java Settings I have the entry "PAYT WAP" which is active and cannot be deleted as they are active.
Because of this every time when trying to connect to the internet I get the message: "Data account does not exist. Check settings"

I have created a secondary account to get around this but it is annoying to see this message ever time I use the Internet.

Is this happening because of the CDA file (cust pack)? What must I do to get around this problem? All I want is a phone that as sold in retail unbranded!

    Problem no 2:
Can anyone pleas help me update the camera software which is ver. 2.5 at the moment?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!:)

    Thankyou in advance,
    Orange.

Thank you for your help Senter. Please can you tell me if the above mentioned problem is Custpack related, if so which Custpack should I use for Europe_2 to stop this problem?

    Thanks,

It sounds like your phone has had quite a few things done to it - it I was you, I would do a complete reflash on it so that you know you are starting from a sensible position:

    K800_R8BF003_MAIN_GENERIC_WI_RED53 <- Main Firmware
    K800_R8BF003_FS_EUROPE_2_RED53 <- EUROPE_2 filesystem
    HB1-06_Generic_CDA102568_11_R4A_GENERIC_EUROPE_2 <- EUROPE2 custpack

If you're in the UK, you might prefer to use this custpack:

K800i_CDA102511_153_R1A_Generic_Trade_UK_United_Ki ngdom <- UK Generic custpack

Just start up FAR manager, run jdflasher, select "oflash" and copy the main and fs files to the phone, then reconnect, select "ofs" and copy the contents of the custpack to the filesystem so that everything ends up in /tpa/preset/custom.

    Brilliant trimesh,
this is exactly what I needed and yes you are right, this phone has been badly treated even before my novice hands got hold of it. Thank you very very much for your help, much appreciated!!!

Glad to hear it's all working - and I remember when I first started looking at all this stuff, and my immediate reaction was "what does all this mean?" Red phones, brown phones, CIDs, CDAs.

Since you are already on CID53 (don't do this with a phone with a lower CID, since it will upgrade it to CID53, and that has more security), it's worth connecting to SEUS and checking to see if there is any newer software.

If it gives you the option to upgrade or reinstall, then it means that your phone has a plausible configuration - if it just says "you already have the latest firmware" without the "reinstall" option then there is something inconsistent in your phone config.

Yes, I know what you mean, this debranding etc... certainly boggles the brain.

Well, I have been on SEUS and it gave me the option to reinstall as I already have the latest firmware, just as you predicted. I guess means that all is as it should be. :D:D:D:D

Having done this I went on and customised the icons and loaded a different cam. driver. Wow, this is turning out to be quite a satisfiying bit of entertainment! :)

Now all I need to know is how to alter the media player etc... I guess this will follow sometime.

So, thanks trimesh and everyone who's input was recieved gladly - cheers and have a nice day...!:)
